Audio Length: 8:22

Listen to GLAAD's President Neil G. Giuliano & Rashad Robinson, Senior Director of Media Programs, discuss the results of a new poll that the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation commissioned Harris Interactive to conduct. This is a nationally representative survey among U.S. adults over the age of 18. The objective of the study was to understand public opinion on LGBT people & LGBT-related policy issues. The results are very encouraging....:)

The Pulse of Equality survey shows that majorities of Americans favor either marriage or civil unions/domestic partnerships for gay & lesbian couples. The poll also shows support for gay & transgender inclusive hate-crimes laws, non-discrimination laws & allowing openly gay service members to serve in the armed forces.
