Roots of a Gay Black Man (Audio)

Edwin Seth Brown shares his personal thoughts in a conversation with Emmy Winner Charlotte Robinson about his family and his family’s acceptance of his sexual orientation. Our LGBT community has learned from the passage of Prop 8 in California how important it is to engage communities of color in dialogue about gay marriage and LGBT civil rights. Edwin, as a gay black man, states that denying citizens basic civil rights is the real terrorism in our world. He also gives his spin on how important it is to stay true to who we are as people and not lose sight of our heritage in these difficult economic times.

Edwin Seth Brown is Director of Business Development for Unzipped Media and Ambassador to Germany for the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association (IGLTA). He lives in California and Berlin, Germany with his partner Lewis. They have been together for 45 years.
