Filmmaker Wendy Jo Carlton Talks “Good Kisser” (AUDIO)

 







 

In this exclusive audio interview Emmy Winner Charlotte Robinson host of OUTTAKE VOICES™ talks with award-winning writer/director Wendy Jo Carlton about her new feature film “Good Kisser” available now to purchase or rent on Wolfe Video. Jenna becomes enthralled with Mia’s sexual confidence and charm and as they spend the evening dancing, drinking tequila and sharing secrets the women become entangled physically and emotionally. However what was intended as a night of fun soon exposes the cracks in Kate and Jenna’s relationship redefining being careful what you wish for. “Good Kisser” will have its DVD release June 16th and will stream on a variety of digital platforms including Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, Google Play and more. We talked to Wendy Jo about what she hopes to accomplish with “Good Kisser” and her spin on our LGBTQ issues.

Wendy Jo Carlton directed her first feature “Hannah Free” starring Emmy-winner Sharon Gless in 2009. Her second feature “Jamie and Jessie are Not Together” is said to be the first lesbian RomCom musical with film critic Roger Ebert giving it a glowing review, and AutoStraddle.com listing “Jamie and Jessie are Not Together” as one of the “Top 100 Lesbian Movies of All Time”. Her award-winning lesbian web series “Easy Abby” received over 50 million views online and is now an Original Series on Revry.tv. Wendy Jo Carlton also served as an Associate Producer on the award-winning documentary “Circus of Books” executive produced by Ryan Murphy and recently released on Netflix.

Adrian Shanker Talks New LGBTQ Health Anthology (AUDIO)

We talked to Adrian about what he hopes to accomplish with “Bodies and Barriers: Queer Activists on Health” and his spin on our LGBTQ issues.

Adrian Shanker earned a Graduate Certificate in LGBT Health Policy and Practice from George Washington University and serves as Executive Director of Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center in Allentown, PA. A specialist in LGBTQ health policy he has developed leading-edge health promotion campaigns to advance health equity through behavioral, clinical and policy changes. Adrian administered data collection for the 2015, 2018 and 2020 Pennsylvania LGBTQ Health Needs Assessments. He co-authored “Queer and Quitting: Addressing Tobacco Use as an LGBTQ Issue” in The Routledge Handbook for LGBTQIA Administration and Policy. Adrian serves as Commissioner and Health Committee Co-Chair on the Pennsylvania Commission on LGBTQ Affairs. Previously he served on the Office of Health Equity Advisory Board at Pennsylvania Department of Health. He was named a “Healthcare Hero” by Lehigh Valley Business and twice named ‘Person of the Year’ by Philadelphia Gay News. “Bodies and Barriers: Queer Activists on Health” with Foreword by Rachel L.
