They’re on a quest to normalize the idea of Black, Latinx and LGBTQ families using trusts to build generational wealth. Portia Wood is a member of the California State Bar, the Maryland State Bar, the American Bar Association, the California Association of Black Lawyers and the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. She is also a frequent speaker at legacy wealth planning seminars. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from University of Maryland in 2011 where she served as president of her class. Portia also earned a Master of Law and Letters from the Pepperdine University School of Law.
