Portia Wood Talks Estate Planning For The Marginalized (AUDIO)


 

 

 

 

 

 

In this exclusive audio interview Emmy Winner Charlotte Robinson host of OUTTAKE VOICES™ talks with Portia Wood a generational wealth-planning attorney based in Los Angeles, California. Portia leads the Wood Legal Group a woman-owned and operated law firm specializing in estate planning, probate and elder law that she runs with her mother and law partner Robin Wood. They’re on a quest to normalize the idea of Black, Latinx and LGBTQ families using trusts to build generational wealth. They serve all communities with special attention to the unique needs of Black, Brown and our LGBTQ families. Of course people of color who are also LGBTQ face a unique set of challenges and the Wood Legal Group is passionately focused on helping marginalized communities grow and protect wealth by being a trusted resource for accurate information and comprehensive, culturally competent estate planning.  Portia Wood is a member of the California State Bar, the Maryland State Bar, the American Bar Association, the California Association of Black Lawyers and the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. She is also a frequent speaker at legacy wealth planning seminars. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from University of Maryland in 2011 where she served as president of her class. Portia also earned a Master of Law and Letters from the Pepperdine University School of Law. Susie Mosher Talks Hosting “The Lineup” At Birdland (AUDIO)


 


 

 

 

 

 

In this exclusive audio interview Emmy Winner Charlotte Robinson host of OUTTAKE VOICES™ talks with actress/singer Susie Mosher about her fabulous live weekly show The Lineup at the world famous Birdland at 315 West 44th Street in New York, NY Tuesday nights at 8:30P. The Lineup is a wild anything-goes variety show featuring entertainers from the Broadway, cabaret and comedy scenes. Mosher hosts this spontaneous extravaganza every Tuesday and each week the show is unique and promises to deliver an unforgettable night of quintessential NYC entertainment. Broadway veteran Jim Caruso approached Mosher and asked if she would be interested in creating an original show at Birdland and Mosher jumped at the opportunity. A contrast from Caruso’s Cast Party the long running songfest that plays Birdland every Monday night, The Lineup has a hand-picked roster hosted by the versatile and hilarious Mosher with musical director Brad Simmons and featuring Jon Miller on bass and Clint De Ganon on drums. The next show is on Tuesday January 18th with Donna Vivino, Gianmarco Soresi, Christina Wheeler, Connor Antico, Ari Axelrod, Benny Benack The III, Pascal Pastrana and Robbie Rozelle. There is a $20 cover and a $20 minimum so come early and enjoy their food and beverage menu. Birdland is a fully vaccinated venue and all patrons must bring and show proof of vaccine to attend the show. Susie Mosher has been performing professionally since she was sixteen in the west coast premiere of Godspell at The Old Globe Theatre. Nightclubs, theater, television and movies have been along her checkered path including films Lost Souls, View from The Top, It’s Pat, The Wedding Planner and Bear City 2. She has been seen on television in Beverly Hills 90210, Snoops, Veronica’s Closet, The L Word and Nurse Jackie. Susie finally obtained her childhood dream of being on Broadway when she was cast in Hairspray playing Prudy Pingleton for the last two years of its amazing six-year run.
